I think you knew the answer was that you are to let God’s Word transform your mind.  People should be able to tell that you are a Christian by your clean life.  If they can not, this is an issue you must address by giving God full control of your every decision.  This even extends to the secular aspects of life.  What does God say in Romans about your relationship to your government and civil authorities?
