The book says they couldn’t give their meat and drink offerings because they had nothing to give.  In case you are wondering, this is exactly what it sounds like.  A meat and drink offering is giving God a gift of food rather than a dead animal.  While the blood sacrifice was necessary for a sin offering, other types of offering were accepted as gifts for the purpose of praising and thanking God.  Now then, as if they had a choice, what was Israel commanded to do?

-Stop the meat and drink offerings-

-Leave the country-
