Job already expressed his knowledge of the afterlife, as well as the end of the world, in saying he would see his Redeemer in his own body.  Job knew his kids would live again, so having ten more was double for him.  Also, comparing this with Hebrews 11’s commentary on Abraham sacrificing Isaac, we see that God gave each of them what He knew they could handle.  Abraham and Job both believed God could resurrect their dead children, but Abraham was not Job.  God chose to not let Isaac die while choosing to let Job’s kids die and stay dead because God knew what each man could handle.  The Lord only gives us what fits us.
