Paul says in his letter to Titus that a pastor’s children should not be accused of riot of unruly, and this means that a pastor who does not do a good job of keeping his children under control can disqualify himself from the ministry.  As Paul says in his letter to Timothy, if a man can not keep his own household in order, how can he lead a church?  The children aren’t expected to be perfect, seeing they are still sinners like everyone else, but they shouldn’t have a reputation that can hinder their father’s calling.

To what does Paul say we should not give heed?

-Silly babble-

-Old wives’ tales-
