Matthew quotes Hosea when telling of the infant Jesus being taken to Egypt to escape the evil Herod’s bloodthirsty ideas.  As Jesus is taken from Egypt to Nazareth, Matthew reminds us of the prophecy from the Old Testament.  This also sheds light on the fact that much of the Old Testament points to the approaching Messiah through foreshadow rather than direct announcement.  Be mindful of this when reading Scripture.

Now then, you have completed the training course.  I can’t say how impressed I am with you.  You are now properly prepared to take the actual challenge, so go ahead and begin with easy mode.  If you were daring enough to start there instead of this class, and you actually survived, I applaud you and give you my approval to continue to the hard mode.

If you started there and have gone backwards the whole time, would you mind to teach the novices how to study?  I’d appreciate it.

Which option will you choose now?
