Saul’s son in question was Ishbosheth.  That’s Ish-bo-sheth.  If you think that’s something, just wait till you meet his nephew.  Indeed, I said nephew, and in fact, this was the son of David’s best friend, Jonathan.  I had planned on making this the third question of the quiz, but it ended up way down here.

Jonathan had a son who was lame.  David sought out a living relative of Saul’s to whom he could show kindness, and this couldn’t have been a better candidate.  The new king instantly had this dude brought to the palace and given a permanent spot to sit by David at his dining table.  What was this guy’s name?
